In Spring, the driest months of the year, the probability of clouds is low. When the wind blows from the north, dry and clean air, often directly from Greenland, flows to the Wadden Islands. The starry sky is then unforgettable, and the atmosphere is as transparent as in the mountains a few kilometers above sea level.

In early summer, it does not get completely dark at night on the Wadden Islands. Evening and dawn then merge into each other. Therefore, the summers do not offer particularly good conditions for stargazing.

Autumn is a season to enjoy the Milky Way. From horizon to horizon, the Milky Way stretches across the sky like a milky white band with thousands of stars.

In winter, the nights are the longest, and the stars shine especially brightly in the night sky.
